Japanese Companies and Sustainability in the UK: Seminar and Networking Event - Export to Japan

The UK is an Important Destination for Japanese Investors

Japanese companies are one of the UK's key long-term inward investors, many of them bringing sustainable and innovative technologies to their operations here.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing (TMUK), based in the East Midlands, have been using environmental technologies to manufacture cars at a sustainable plant in Burnaston, Derby with an environmental manufacturing process based on innovation and constant kaizen – while producing cars with pioneering hybrid technology. Hitachi Rail Europe are manufacturing a greener and lighter train fleet for the UK blending Japanese technology with British manufacturing and contributing to the sustainability of our transport infrastructure. Brother UK, Hitachi, Fujitsu and Toshiba are all using innovative technologies and sustainable solutions in major Japan UK Projects and Product Development.

Come and join us to discuss this topic with Japanese companies and leading academics from the University and network to meet Japan related people including JETAA Members, students from the University and Japan related businesses in the area.
