DIT's Defence Procurement Guide UK Launch event can help you find opportunities in the high value defence sector in Japan.
Opportunities for UK Defence Companies to Win Contracts in Japan
What is this event about?
Japan spends some £20 Billion annually on defence and security equipment. The British Embassy Tokyo has recently helped UK companies form partnerships in Japan aimed at accessing business opportunities in this sector. In order to gain further market share, the British Embassy Tokyo, in collaboration with its UK partners, will be launching a guide to Japanese defence procurement.
The electronic guide is designed to help UK businesses navigate the complexities of Japanese defence procurement processes and find opportunities in this high value sector. The guide will contain a range of helpful information that prospective bidders should know: including structure of main procurement bodies, procurement process flow charts and timescales, outlines of the required bid documents and a glossary of terms.
Who is this event for?
This is an opportunity for UK defence companies who are interested or want to find out more about the potential to supply products and services to Japan. The session will consist of a market overview, a presentation of the new procurement guide by the author, followed by an opportunity to ask questions of the British Embassy and Department for International Trade (DIT) team.
