Join DIT's first Nuclear Industry Forum in January 2017, and find out how to do business in the nuclear industry in Japan.
The UK and Japan Can Benefit From Strategic Partnerships in the Nuclear Sector
The UK and Japanese Civil Nuclear industries are growing ever closer, with UK decommissioning expertise well respected in Japan, and Hitachi and Toshiba planning to build new power stations in the UK.
Both countries would benefit from the formation of strategic partnerships between their respective nuclear industries, in order to deliver successful projects in the UK, in Japan and potentially in other countries around the world.
With the support of the Japan Atomic Industry Forum and the Nuclear Industry Association, the Department for International Trade at the British Embassy in Tokyo are arranging the first UK-Japan Nuclear Industry Forum.
Opportunities for the UK and Japan to Do Business Together
Attendees will be from both industry and government from the UK and Japan, and there will be formal feedback from this forum to the annual UK-Japan Government-to-Government Nuclear dialogue, which is held in London.
One day of the forum will be dedicated to the theme of 'Decommissioning in Japan' and one on the theme 'New Build in the UK'.
On both days there will be plenary sessions with presentations by senior figures in the UK and Japanese nuclear industries, followed by pre-arranged 1-to-1 meetings between UK and Japanese Companies.
If you are interested in attending this event, please pre-register using the button below by 21 November 2016, and we will get back to you with more details.
