About the Speaker

Roger Berman, President of ZenWorks Co., Ltd., has been active in Japanese, East Asian and international licensing for over twenty-five years. His brand development and management experience is wide-ranging, covering property categories such as sports, fashion and lifestyle brands (Karrimor, Dunlop, Slazenger, Dakar Rally), classic character properties (Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear, Eric Carle), artists and illustrators (Norman Rockwell, Kagaya), and corporate trademarks (Kelloggs, Kikkoman, Royal Doulton). From 2008 to 2010, he managed the Japan branch of LIMA, the international licensing industry trade body, and is currently its Operations Advisor and a past-director. Berman has lived in Japan since 1984 and is bilingual in Japanese. 

Berman’s company, Tokyo-based ZenWorks Co., Ltd., delivers specialized license consulting and agency services to brand owners and content creators entering Japan and other East Asian markets.
